Bio-Diesel From Denver Relief (DenverNugs)

At first I thought this might be the same as Biesel, but then realized the genetics are different.

Bio-Diesel

Submitted By: DenverNugs (Member and Editor)

Camera Used: Sony Cybershot DSC-S980

Name: Bio-Diesel

From: Denver Relief (DispensaryDenver)

Grade: A+

Type: Hybrid (50/50)

Genetics: Sensi Star x Sour Diesel

Price: $20/g  $55/1/8

Looks: Phenomenal. The buds are completely covered in white glistening trichomes.  I’ve gotten batches before that have had some purple in them, but these nugs didn’t have that. There is literally not a single spot that hasn’t been washed by THC.

Smell: VERY stinky!  It’s the best smelling weed I’ve ever had.  Mostly diesel smell with a flower-like fragrance fusion.  I have a sealed glass jar and the smell gets out to stink the room.  Make sure to have the window open folks!

Taste: The diesel part of the bud really shines here.  A bit harsh because of the high THC content but smooth on the exhale.

Buzz Type: An immediate head rush with pressure behind the eyes starts the high.  Afterward a very medicating body high leaves you feeling like you are on a cloud.  A little goes a very long way with this strain.

Buzz Length: Long.  Don’t toke this up if you have a lot of tasks to do!

Overall: My absolute favorite strain to smoke.  It’s an incredible bang for your buck medication that will NOT disappoint anyone.  Adam from Denver Relief, in my opinion, grows the absolute best buds in Colorado.  Anything you get from there will be of the highest quality.  However, the Bio is still my recommended pick.  I suggest all of the strictly OG smokers in California to come get a piece of this. :)   –DenverNugs

although, when you say it’s a bit harsh because of the high thc I wonder. is it because of a lung expanding smoke that fills them? or is it harsh in that it has an almost scratchy smoke. The lung expansion should just make you feel full, like a mouth full of water almost, but without pain.

many people assume because they cough, their batch is primo. maybe if you choke…

Your right Mike, myself included, used to say “cough to get off”, but now that I am a serious grower, I know that there is little truth to that. Some strains are just harsher than others, but if grown, flushed, and cured properly it shouldn’t “hurt” your throat or lungs. There is truth in that super crystally weed can be very expansive and hard to hold on to.

yep, there is that lung-expanding kind of smoke… usually kushes and etc offer that. its more just like a dense smoke, that is just more concentrated… higher potency = higher concentration of thc per toke

I know a little about this strain I can tell you that there are going to be some PISSED Star Wars nerds about this one. This is also called deathstar and suposed to be a real guarded strain but they don’t mind giving out the parents so it has been created again and again and renamed as well.

lol, but the genetics are pretty staple in the industry, so whats to say that someone else didn’t think of crossing these two. doesn’t mean they ripped it off…

however, i’m sure there are some seed companies looking to turn profit and maybe some shady business there, but i dunno

say you crossed sensi star x sour diesel, selected the best pheno out of 5 per say. they bred i dunno, og kush x white shark… then selected a proper male specimen. then bred that and made a seed line. then you have the right to name something… imo

or i will say, should have the right. as many experienced growers out there who likely deserve naming rights, but until there is a standardization, beware of getting your “ideas” stolen. as that is all they are

Those are some nasty parents! This specific bud would be an Indica\Heavy Hybrid I presume.

Thanks for all of the comments guys, and m1ke, I agree with you. I think it’s just a higher concentration in the smoke. It’s kind of a similar feeling I get when I smoke a lot of hash at once. I’ve sampled Deathstar and Bio-Diesel that were both very well grown, I can assure you the Bio wins hands down every time. This particular strain won the 2009 Colorado Medical Marijuana Harvest Cup. It’s an incredible strain.

is there any specific differences between the bio-diesel and the deathstar? maybe it isn’t the exact same then?

and yeah, @Caleb307, get that nug porn goin… hhaha

  18. says:

    on Nov 29, 2010

I’m not quite sure on that one. Nugporn did a review of the concentrate and they have the grower for Denver Relief talking about it. He’s also from Ohio where Deathstar is supposedly from. All I know is the Bio-D smoked a hell of a lot better and gave a much longer lasting high. The type of buzz was incredibly similar though.

I will stack our Cali Pre 98 Bubba with any strain. Or maybe some really good grown Black Domina if its the right phenotype.

Wow, that cross looks amazing. I’m starting to notice I like a 50/50 cross or sativa much more than an indica, but it depends on the time of day.

I love balanced highs. Euphoria AND pain relief AND creative energy? PERFECT HIGH imo. And for me it’s only achieved with a top-shelf, well-balanced hybrid.

Denver here I come, I just have to smoke this!
