Check out some more of what OM of Medicine has to offer with this Gunk review.

Submitted By: 1000toes (Member and Editor)

Camera Used: Nikon Coolpix L110

Name: Gunk

Genetics: G-13 x Skunk

From: OM of Medicine (DispensaryAnn Arbor, MI)

Grade: B+

Type: Sativa

Price: $55/3.5 gram donation

Looks: WEIRD ass green buds that were seriously soft and powdery when broken up.  I’ve never seen a bud like this!  The trichomes even look kind of crazy to the naked eye.  The buds have almost no weight it seems but they are all around the same size and same density.  They reminded me of big buds of kief when broken down into a pile.

Smell: This stuff is so weird still to me…. It smells like a science project someone did growing G-13 in a skunk house.  Kind of clears the sinus cavity and makes the eyes widen on the first whiff.

Taste: The same as the smell.  Kind of like a skunky cleaning agent.  I kind of got a few hints of grapefruits or oranges along the way.  It was a nice, tasty smoke.

Buzz Type: It wasn’t as powerful and hard hitting as I first expected with the G-13 parents.  It kind of just got me nice and medicated.  I enjoyed the company that was around and had a good time laughing and watching tv after smoking.  It increased hunger a small amount, but on the downside I did kind of feel my heart racing a little bit.  In some situations that could be bad for anxiety.

Buzz Length: MediumLong.  90 minutes.

Overall: Just a smooth smoke that anyone could enjoy.  I wasn’t too fond of the looks but the smell had me sold.  I would definitely like to try this stuff from a different grower, perhaps an outdoor grow where the buds could get a little more dense.  Anyways, thanks for reading this random weird review.  –1000toes

Definitely sounds weird from your review… but still sort of intriguing?  –Tokeahontas

Hmmm…. When you mention it a flash dry would make it the texture he speaks of. “WEIRD ass green buds that were seriously soft and powdery when broken up.” And would also bring it down to a B grade bud, If it was originally an A grade.
@1000toes: Did you notice that it was too crispy, Or the stem had a little play in it?
      Thanks again for any response.

By flash dry, do you mean put in an oven or dehydrator of some sort? I have done that to buds before and this stuff had way too much smell and taste in my opinion for it to be dried quickly. The bud structure just seriously felt and looked like real alien weed Haha.

Ok, someone has to give the Gunk some love… lol
@1000toes: Do you know what skunk was used in the cross?
For example a white skunk = the old school cut of sk#1 (not the lemon dominant cut but the one from ’81) another is S.S. which brings out that acrid skunky afghan smell the most! Or a fruity skunk like L.S. or I.S.S. which is known for it’s amazing grapefruit finish?
Thanks for any info, as skunks are 1 of my all time favorite varieties.

Honestly I never get bud here in England that looks as strange as that! G-13 or various skunks have all looked much more impressive thant his. I’ll trust your judgement for the grading 1000toes…but I’m amazed that you had to pay such a price for this bud.
