Lamb’s Breath From South Bay Canna Clinic (LDog)

This Lamb’s Breath has possibly the most disgusting smell description I’ve seen in a review here.  But that’s a characteristic of the strain, so I guess I can’t be too grossed out…

Camera Used: Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS

Name: Lamb’s Breath

From: South Bay Canna Clinic (DispensaryTorrance)

Grade: B

Type: Sativa

Price: $18/gram, $55/eighth

Looks: I haven’t had any Lamb’s Breath or seen any in a cool minute, and if there was Lamb’s Breath available at a collective, it was usually undesirable.  But SBCC had a decent cut (SBCC usually will have this in stock year-round) that wasn’t mid-grade or schwag.

The Lamb’s Breath has conical, dark olive green buds that are compact, bulb-like, and dense.  From the looks of the swollen expanding calyxes, dark orange and amber flared hairs, frosty amber-hued chunky trichomes, the buds were harvested at the right time.  The buds feel dense and when I gave the buds a pinch they didn’t move, but were a little dry.

Smell: Lamb’s Breath actually smells like a lamb’s breath, excreting foul odor that’s a combination of putrid old cheese pizza (with a dash of parmesan) and stinking gym socks filled with Hershey Kisses.  I really can’t put it any better than that.

Taste: The stench from this flower inspired me to try and snap a bowl, but as I broke down the buds I could feel that the density and high amount of resin were going to be a pleasant problem.  Inhale was smooth, but the flavor’s intensity didn’t match the wretched smell–  it was still tasty.  The smoke has a soft, cheesy, earthiness that hits the taste buds on inhale.

There was also a surprising flash of fruity, citrus, sweetness, but as I exhaled, a bitter plant/hay-like flavor came about that added more body to the smoke.  The flavor was average, but what I liked was the flash of sugary fruit flavor that was there and gone in an instant, like turning a lamp on and off.

Buzz Type: Lamb’s Breath is one of the strains that will generally improve all aspects of life, that’s until the comedown.  After one FAT bowl my head ballooned up with an inspiring, uplifted, and peacefully mellowing headiness that sent me straight into a world of understanding and creativity.  I was totally enveloped in the high and at times I was heavily focused in on what I was doing, to the point where nothing else mattered.

The headiness is stony, but for some reason I was able to cut through the fog, and if I felt too concentrated (I heart dabs) I was still able to pull away from the task-at-hand and relax.  The effects will get you to an elevated peak, but I will warn you to bring a parachute for the comedown.  There was a wicked falloff that had me plummeting through a rough comedown, so don’t overdo-it or you could end up with a sativa blow out.

Buzz Length: MediumLong.  1 hour 30 minutes.

Overall: At the beginning of the effects, I quickly fell head-over-heels for this Lamb’s Breath, but as the comedown hit I soon found myself regretting that we first met.  Haha, man everything was legit with only the flavor needing to be enhanced, but I didn’t remember Lamb’s Breath having such a mean comedown.  I wasn’t prepared for the falloff and that got me in the end, leaving me red eyed and a little toasted.  –LDog

Sounds like an awesome high until the dreaded blowout!  I’m also glad to hear that the taste didn’t completely reflect the smell!  –Tokeahontas

Nice review. From the sounds of the comedown and the looks of the amber trichs it was harvested late. Sativas have a more soaring high and not as heavy coming down with milky trichs. Well from my experience

Looks super potent! I’d love to try this strain, along with Hawaiian Snow sometime. Why hasn’t my Cactus review been posted yet? I’m a member and editor and I sent in the review weeks ago.

LOL @ “I’m a member and editor and I sent in the review weeks ago.”

Dude it used to take MONTHS to have a review posted, so don’t complain about a couple weeks.

What do most people mean when they talk about the (comedown)? I’ve been smoking for years and really don’t know what it means.

Had this for 2 weeks over the summer and it was straight fire. T he smell description is spot on except I would add a little pepper in there. It was fun as shit to walk around a party with the lid cracked on my jar in my pocket and watch people as they try o find out where the smell was coming from. To those that did, well im pretty sure they had a good time.
