A. I see some darn good OGs and this one is better than 99% of them
Type:
Indica dominant - Call it 70/30 I/S
Price:
$45/8th or $80/q, delivered
Looks:

Enormous, bulging tree-shaped buds have made up the various eighths and quads of Super OG that I have scooped from PGP the past few months.  They are always dense and craggy, like multiple trophy nugs mashed together, but all branching from the same stem. It’s not too sticky until you get to the core of the larger buds, but cured to perfection.  Pistil growth is above average for an OG, each one a long rusty red cape flowing off the Superbud.  Trich coverage has always been abundant on the batches I’ve snagged, again well above average for such a dense OG. This bud reminds me, in more ways than one, of the KimChi OG that I reviewed here a while ago, but with an extra kick in all categories.  What I really love about this Super OG is that it is almost totally “usable”, there is very little waste at all, thanks to a superhero grower and a trusted sidekick trimmer.

Smell:

A bit different than most of the OGs floating around lately.  Any pine related scent I can pull from the flower itself is a deep hidden sap aroma, but overpowered more by rye seed and rainy forest days and a hint of vanilla.  When you walk back into the room after a bowl, the smoke itself is very piney and sharp, incredibly inviting.

Taste:

One of its best features, the flavor on this Super OG is always fresh and clean and even across multiple deliveries, every bud – regardless of size or shape – retains the same familiar flavor.  It’s really just a full earthy toke, no real specific terp profiles to highlight here, but the way it fills your mouth and lungs inspires immediate salivation like a perfect steak, leaving behind a crisp minty finish every time.  It’s no wonder that the Nectar that was made from the colas was SO AMAZING.

Buzz Type:

More powerful than a locomotive.

Though Indica dominant, this is definitely a 24/7 strain.  Whether you are waking n’ baking to face another shift of grinding out headlines at The Daily Planet, or zipping around the globe faster than a speeding bullet, Super OG keeps up with you every step of the way.

It instantly relaxes me, no matter where I am or what I am about to do.
Definitely a “happy weed”, it’s a surefire mood elevator for me.
It even seems to give me a bit of an ego boost, like I needed that.

Buzz Length:

One of the rare strains that can melt my universal tolerance like kryptonite and provide real, effective effects for up to two hours after just a few large rips.  A full, well-rolled cone of this to the head is almost hallucinogenic during those final few dank-soaked-drags.

Overall:

This musclebound and heroic OG cut has strengthened my stash on more than a few occasions the past few months.  There are certainly some small-batch connoisseur-grown OGs out there that can match Super OG’s potency, and might shine a bit more under the camera flash, but this strain has earned my respect and in my eyes, stands several calyxes above 99% of the OGs I come across.  I have probably smoked a couple of ounces of it by now, mixed among other strains in my stash, and the fact that I haven’t grown tired of it, but instead continue to reach for it first, is a testament to its quality.

For the price, it certainly can’t be beat. Its the type of strain that a shop or service could (should?) make its flagship OG.  PGP was known back in the day for their FIRE Raskal cut, but this SuperOG is comin outta the boooooth!

No clue. The growers in this network are typically very forthcoming with their genetics, but its been radio silence on this one. From what I have heard, it should not be mistaken for SupermanOG, as the name SuperOG was sort of just slapped on since it turned out so…well….Super…

Very nice. Would "super" refer to some SSH in the lineage/

Pretty safe to say theres ZERO SSH in them thar buds.
Agreed with Chi, looks like a SFV variant, maybe a reworked Fire, but the vanilla notes are unusual.

I believe that nug there is SubRob's cut that goes around SD…its a sativa by the way

Have not heard of SubRobs cut, and though I cannot confirm or deny any of that, the only reason this cut hit SD was from a 30+ year relationship between the caregiver and the growers

Don't see PGP listed anywhere. Private, or do they go by a different name? Probably don't deliver to N County anyway. Wouldn't mind grabbing some.

They are not taking new patients at this time. They were a very successful brick n' mortar shop in 2011, down in Pacific Beach, and they plan to reopen soon in College area, near SDSU.
I'll be out of town for a week or so, but when I get back I'd be happy to put some in your hands.
I'll buzz ya when I'm back in town.

Great pickup, Jack. I am weary of going through delivery services because I think if they come with crappy weed I'm forced to buy it lol..But looks like these dudes have the bomb

I am totally with ya man. I only tried a "random" delivery service once. It really wasn't *that* bad, but the 8ths were like $65. They did come in nice little glass jars though, that I still use to this day.
As for PGP, I help them with photography work for their menu and stuff, so I know whats good ;)

i can buy 10g from this buds??

So this OG from the picture resembles some I had, except when I get to taste. Definitely love the rainy forest day smell, but mine tasted more candy lemon. And I agree with your 70/30 indica Dom buzz, I've always felt there's the perfect amount of indica in OG. Not sativa.

Yeah, no lemon here. They have some HumboldtOG on the menu now that has a bit more lemon/pine kick.
