XXX OG From Golden State Patients Association (LDog)

XXX OG was a new OG that was recommended so I took a few nugs to medicate on.  The forest green nugs are bulky but have grown a tad airy between the clumps of trichome encrusted calyxes that also have an emergence of flaming orange hairs.  As I peered in closer I could see the trichomes were hazy with a very light amber hue and were everywhere and still intact with glimmering bulb-like heads.

From the looks of it, I was certain the nugs were sticky, and I found this to be so when I squeezed the nug, which only gave the distance between the clumps of buds before standing firm.

XXX OG has an invigoratingly earthy odor that has a kick of eucalyptus and lemons toward the finish that tantalizes the nose.  The aroma is very aromatic and once I broke up a clump of calyxes there was a rush of fresh pine sap, lemons, and a little ammoniated fuel rose up to offend the nose.

The clumpy buds were sticky and dense but the buds were cured well, so they weren’t a hassle to breakdown.  Inhale was effortless and smooth.  At the same time, it was infused with a rich coffee and earth flavor with a hint of eucalyptus and pine before exhale, which has a different taste.

Exhale is smooth and brings back the coffee and earth taste before a lemony finish washes over the taste buds.  The smoke had a little expansion to it but was still astoundingly smooth, giving me no urge to cough.  With the smoke being this smooth, I was almost certain the ash would be white.  After the bowl was cashed, I happy to see only white ash.

I can see why this was recommended to me.  The effects arrive on exhale with a warming flush over the back and head that will eventually engulf the entire body in a mellow euphoria with excellent pain and muscle tension relief.  My eyes became warm and felt a little glossy along with some pressure but when I took a look in the mirror they looked cool.

With my body blissfully medicated, my mind was still somewhat alert and very positive.  I felt comfortable on the couch but I also was active and my mind wandered and that kept me off the couch.  Once the effects peak, a very chill near laggy feeling sets in and will dampen your drive a little and that kicks off the comedown, which will throw a lazy wrench in your gears.

So be prepared for a laggy comedown that is manageable but might require a Red Bull to perk you up.
