Gold Mist From California Patients Association (LDog)

Gold mist is a cinnamon-tasting tincture, and I feel like Tetra Labs has really fine-tuned the art.  A few people at the office gave it a test run and it definitely seems to get the job done.  A good alternative to edibles for those who prefer not to smoke/vaporize their meds.

CPA kicked me down with a bottle of this glycerin based tincture called Gold Mist which is from Tetra Labs, the same people who bring you Pure Gold.  The tincture is glycerin based and colored a golden caramel tone, at the same time being translucent.

The bottle is less than 2.5” in length and about a .5” in diameter, so it’s very small and compact.  The bottle itself is clear, besides the “GoldMist” stenciling and a shiny gold cap.  The spray nozzle is translucent as well and I noticed after a couple of uses the bottom of the spray nozzle collects tincture and I found it annoying to not be able to get it all out, so some of the tincture will go to waste.

This spray has some kick to it with the aroma smelling like a wad of Trident Cinnamon Gum that was soaked overnight in Listerine mouthwash.

Nearly identical to the smell with the kick of a mouthful of Listerine mouthwash.  The sting stays for a minute and if you take more than 4 sprays, it will burn your tongue pretty good.

Buzz Type:

I was told the tincture hits rather quickly but I wasn’t really buying it so I took 6 sprays to make sure I did feel the effects, but it actually does hit behind the eyes in about 10 minutes.  The eyes feel some pressure and soon after a flow of muscle relaxing affects begins to descend upon the body, mainly the shoulders, lower back, and feet.  I was feeling heavy in the body and any ideas of doing anything at all withered, and I found myself seated on my couch with only chilling on my mind.

I felt peaceful and little tired but still functional if I needed to be, but I didn’t, so I just relaxed on the couch until the effects lifted.  The comedown is a little fuzzy and will cause some lag in the head and body, but I would say it is fairly light for such a good body high.  The head is kind of left out to dry as there is only a bloated chill buzz that never really peaks, but just chugs along until the comedown.

Buzz Length:

6 sprays had me good for about 2 hours.

Gold Mist is a pretty effective tincture that I wasn’t expecting to really deliver, but it did.  This spray is very handy for the times when you can’t get to your piece, or Omicron, as the small spray bottle can be used in a few short seconds with the appearance of being breath freshener.

There are a few cons such as the waste of tincture in the spray cap, the strong alcohol sting from spray, and the strong cinnamon flavor (I am not a fan of cinnamon).  However, if Tetra Labs comes out with a better tasting tincture the Ldog will be all over it.  –LDog

Nice review as always and I'm really glad you found a working tincture. It seems that most of them are a flop so again congrats. If you ever find the extraction method let me know as it sounds perfect for the wife and I.

I was wondering if that stuff would have any effect. If it puts a dent in your tolerance I'm sure it will work for most people. Great review as always my friend.

Nice review Ldog, like others I too have always been curious about the tinctures sold at CPA. Sounds like it may be a good source to turn to when smoking isn't an option. Peace as always Ldog!~Tina

I have both sativa (glycerine. Sativa Spirits) and Indica (sublingual, Holy Oil. Mother Earth Medicines) tinctures. Don't like either one. I did have another Indica tincture that was great, but it had little resemblence to herb. It was more like Valium. Maybe I'll review these.

Picked up Goldmist from a dispensary a few months back, tried it several times up to 15 sprays at once and I never once felt any buzz/high whatsoever. I even led a few friends (also patients) try it and they didn't feel anything. In my opinion this spray is a waste of money, however it might work better for someone with no tolerance at all.

I'm gonna guess my man LDog has some SERIOUS tolerance. I'm thinking it's physiological. I have some edibles that some people said didn't affect them much. They freaking destroy me.

I only had a buzz in the head and most of the effects were in the body, wasn't rocked but that's not what tinctures are really for. If I want to get stoned I dab.

Yep. The indica one I had would be the thing to use if someone was *really* going for medicinal pain-relief/insomnia/etc. Very little "buzz". The sativa's different. It gives me all the jitteryness of a sativa with little of the fun. :(

Tried this myself and while I didn't get a HUGE kick from it, it definitely took the edge off.

I am 100% convinced that there is no thc in this stuff at all. I was really excited about it, seemed like a great idea, but after buying a bottle, I have had no effect whatsoever from it. I must be doing it wrong? I don't really think that's possible, but that is the only other reason I can think of for the spray to do this little. I have tried anywhere from 2-20 sprays directly into my mouth, I didn't drink afterward or for 30 minutes before. Don't buy this. Not worth your money.
